Who is responsible for what
Alexandre Hardouin, publisher of Viandes Dakoté (see the legal notice), acts in two different capacities.
- Data controller for this website, for the messages written to him and for the farms' accounts: he is the one you contact.
- Processor for the data each farm enters in the tool — its animals, its customers, their orders: the farmer is responsible for it, the publisher processes it on the farm's behalf and for no other purpose.
Messages sent through the contact form
- Data: your name, your e-mail address, your farm's name if given, your message; the IP address and browser go with the message received.
- Purpose: replying to you, and spotting abuse.
- Legal basis: the steps taken before a possible contract, and the publisher's legitimate interest in answering those who write to him.
- Retention: the message is stored in no database; it arrives by e-mail and stays in the publisher's inbox for as long as it takes to handle your request and, where relevant, the relationship that follows.
Refused sends
The form is protected against robots. When a send is refused, one line is written in the server log: the reason, the IP address and the browser — not your name, your e-mail address or your message.
- Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in protecting the form.
- Retention: 30 days.
Farm accounts
- Data: the farm's name and contact details; for each user, their surname, first name, e-mail address and password.
- Purpose: giving access to the tool, and invoicing the subscription.
- Legal basis: performing the contract, and the publisher's accounting obligations.
- Retention: the length of the contract. A farm is deleted only 30 days after the request, a delay during which the deletion can be cancelled; accounting records are kept as long as the law requires.
The sign-in log
- Data: the date, the IP address, the account, and whether each sign-in succeeded or failed.
- Purpose: keeping accounts secure, and diagnosing a reported problem.
- Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in running a secure service.
- Retention: 30 days.
Support
To solve a problem you report, the publisher can open your farm's area as you see it. Every opening is recorded — who, when, for how long — in the sign-in log.
The data you enter in the tool
The customer file, orders, deliveries, weighings and animals belong to your farm. The publisher hosts them for you and uses them for nothing else: he does not cross-reference them, does not hand them over, and only looks at them for the support described above.
You can export everything as CSV, at any time before termination.
A farm's customer who wishes to exercise their rights contacts the farmer; if the request reaches the publisher, he passes it on.
The host's logs
The host keeps its own connection logs, which contain IP addresses. They fall under its contract and obligations: the publisher does not use them and does not set how long they are kept.
Who your data is passed to
No data is sold or handed over. Apart from the publisher, only the providers the service needs are involved:
- o2switch — hosting of the website, the tool and its database, in France.
- o2switch — sending of e-mails (password reset, contact form), from its servers in France.
The website calls no third-party service when a page loads.
Cookies
The public website sets no cookie.
Once you are signed in, the tool sets a single one: the session cookie, without which the sign-in would not hold from one page to the next. It also keeps a few display settings in your browser: the theme, the expanded menu, the number of rows in tables.
Both are strictly necessary to the service, which is why no consent banner is shown to you. No audience measurement, no advertising tracker and no social network pixel is used.
Your rights
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data.
To exercise them: contact@viandes-dakote.fr, or the contact form. Proof of identity may be requested if the request leaves any doubt.
If the answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), whose contact details are on cnil.fr.
Automated decisions
No decision producing legal effects concerning you is taken by automated means.
Security
Exchanges with the website are encrypted, and all data is hosted in France.
